Hola! My name is Chris Dyer. I am currently 25 years old.
I am planning on quitting my job, selling all of my belongings I quit my job in September of 2009. and teaching in South Korea AND THEN traveling around the world…depending on how long the money lasts. My adventure will start in February 2010 who the hell knows when…maybe in a year, whenever I feel like it I guess. Okay, so now this has ALL changed!! I have SOLD my house, I have gotten rid of 95% of my belongings and I leave left for Korea October 8th to teach ESL!
My reasoning behind wanting to travel abroad is to really live and soak in all of the different cultures as I am traveling. I have always done everything according to plan. I graduated high school, went to a good college (Purdue University), had a good major, graduated in 4 years, got a good job, and soon after bought a house….and I am not really happy with it. I feel very old, even though I know I am only 24 25.
My house is currently on the market and when I sell it, I will be able to save a lot more than I am able to now. I SOLD THE F’in THING!!! I am going to quit my job in January 2010 and sell most of my belongings. My last day at MEGA Brands will be WAS September 18th. I want all my assets to be in cash or stocks before I go.
I live LIVED in Lafayette, IN and work WORKED as a Brand Manager of a Toy Company. I am happy with my job and love my coworkers, but am easily willing to give it all up for this experience. I am now living in Korea and teaching little Korean monsters some English.
I will soon be living in Changwon, South Korea and working as an ESL teacher. I am still going to travel the world…just don’t know when yet.
My travel plans have changed drastically and will continue to change until I decide. NOW, I am planning on leaving Korea in November of 2010 to go back to America. I will be in America for 2 months or so and then in the middle of January 2011, I will be heading for Mexico. I plan on backpacking/wandering aimlessly around Mexico, Central America and South America for a while….
