BOSTON, MA
I took a mini vacation (5 days) to visit family and relax this past weekend. My brother went with me and my mother met us both there (she drove). My Mom’s family live in Stoughton, MA and I hadn’t seen them in 8 years or so AND I had some airline credits I could use.
My brother, mother and myself went on the “ducktours”
which was kind of corny, but I did get to see a lot of Boston and learn a little as well. I would never pay for this tour, but my Mom was buying and she wanted to do it.
We had a good time downtown sightseeing until it started to rain.
Fenway and the GREEN Monster
Aunt Katie was able to pull
4 free tickets to the Bo Sox on Friday night playing against the Braves. My cousins are not 21 yet, but we started off with dinner in a pub and some drinks. Stopped at a liquor store to sneak some liquor in and then proceeded to get trashed.
I had a good time at the game. The one downside, the seats in Fenway were built in 1908 and have yet to be remodeled…my knees were smashed up against the row in front of me.
Very uncomfortable.
Hull, MA…at the beach
We drove about 45 min to visit a family friend in Hull, MA. She lives 3 houses from the beach and it is quite gorgeous.
The air temperature was about 68 and he water temperature was a shade under 35 I think…but for real it was like 59 degrees. That is fucking COLD!! Like so cold every time the water came up to my nipples my heart stopped for a second. The waves were good and we had fun in the water for 45 min or so.
Came out from the fridgid water to a delicious lobster dinner.
Had a few beers and then were off back to Stoughton.
Just wanted to share my little travel experience briefly. My received my last vaccination yesterday, another post to discuss in detail coming…
