Congrats on selling the house. I can imagine what a big weight off your chest that was. It's a great starting point for your adventures. Couldn't agree with you more about not buying a house until settling ;-)

Have you looked in to doxycycline or mefloquine as anti-malarials? We opted for mefloquine at 3 bux a pill (ala Costco) and it covers you for a week (7-9 days). It also has the 'awesome' side effect of giving you some crazy, weird ass dreams.

Hey Chris! This is G from www.fmy401k.com! Thanks for stopping by our site, it was great to get your comment and check out your own blog and adventure you've got goin on. Congrats on the sale of your house - that must be a big relief with the nosedive the market took. Ray and I are definitely glad the only freedom we've been waiting for was from the job once we'd hit our release date! Now that I've returned to my life of "no financial security" it's amazing how much richer I feel. You understand. Stay in touch and keep following the blog - we'll help you get through the next 7 months! Way to go, mad props to you buddy and nice to meet ya!

Congrats Chris! I agree with Nomadic Matt, being debt free is one of the greatest feelings. You are not just debt free, you are completely free. You can pick up and leave whenever you want, and stop wherever you choose for a day or a month or a year. It must be a very exciting time for you.
