I am in Patong , Thailand (6 weeks now with an aprtment for the next 5 months) and interested in doing the same as you did — what is holding me back ?? The around 6000 US to go from rescue to IDC. And then there are PADI fees every year -yes? and work permit fees to work in Thailand every month –yes?
may I ask you if you have recouped your expenses after your training here in Thailand? How do you find the work (as in how do like teaching and is it consistent) Also is there another way to get to IDC without that huge cost outlay in this area?
I have been diving for over 25 years and am an AOW and love to dive but am unsure if I want to make it my job … how did you feel about this?
