Travel Blog Exchange
I was fortunate enough to be in Chicago this past weekend and was able to attend the Travel Blog Exchange. There were a lot of people there and I was only able to stay for about an hour. I wont even try to summarize it because Nomadic Matt has a much better summary on his site. Check it out HERE! TBEX was informative, but WAY to advanced for myself. The hour I was there, was the Public Relations panel and questions. I get about 30 people on my site a day as an average, so this is something possibly down the road for me. Maybe after I ACTUALLY do some traveling, then I will have some more followers. I will stick to learning how to write a little better and maybe less fucking vulgar, because PR people don’t like vulgarity. Haha, good thing no one reads this shit yet and I don’t have people asking for me to write posts.
I did think it was really flippin’ sweet the event was sponsored and had such a turnout. I recognized a few people whose blog I follow, which is pretty creepy when you think about it. I don’t know if I would be flattered or scared if someone recognized me from my blog and didn’t actually know me. I mean, right now the only people who actually read my blog probably know me (other than a select few). I was able to meet and introduce myself to Nomadic Matt. He was a lot smaller than I expected (no offense if you read this Matt). I missed Matt speaking earlier in the day, but I will try to catch the podcast (I think it is out there somewhere).
Well, maybe by the time this even rolls around again next year, I will be more of an established blogger. Hopefully I will be traveling in another country and wont be able to make it, but I will have wanted to! Haha.
Next couple posts will be about Chicago double decker tours and Chicago homeless people.
Oh ya, I also sent out my packet of documents to South Korea this morning…so hopefully will have my E2 Visa in the next couple weeks!

Chris,
I spoke with my parents the other day and my mom informed that you were going to teach in South Korea. At first I thought she didn’t know what the hell she was talking about, however she proceeded to tell me that she saw your mom at the movies – needless to say I was shocked. At the same time however, I am really excited for you, you sound like you’re really happy and excited about this big adventure. So good luck buddy, I look forward to reading more on your blog and keeping up with you.
Just so you know I have a co-worker that was stationed there and if you have any questions maybe I could put you in contact with him. I hope this message finds you well, I’ll talk to you soon.
Take Care Bud,
JT
um yes I suppose that’s one word for it…
Ya, it was cool, but advanced for someone such as myself. You guys take off soon…bet you are fucking pumped!
Wow what a cool thing to go to, I didn’t even think of such a thing existing!
